Thanks for the reply Gene,

Yes this is my Knowles Family. Due to the marriage of two first cousins in this family three out of the eight of the children of John James and Sarah (Sally Love) Knowles were my GG Grandparents. I've changed Info with Ken Johnson which deserves credit for the best documentation on this family. Kens wife is a GGG Grand-Daughter of Daniel G. Knowles and I'm his GG Grandson. Nancy Ree Knowles,s last born son Barney Austin Manning married Sarah Elizabeth Vickery which was the daughter of Nancy and Daniels sister Sarah Ann Knowles. My Grandmother Sarah Nancy (Nannie) Manning was the the daughter of Barney and Lizzy Manning. And to tie things together even more Nannie married John Wesley Knowles which was the Grand-Son of Daniel G. Knowles. They were third cousins.

We have good documentation on our family but are still searching for the parents of James and Sarah. I've done a lot more research on the possible Father of Sarah (Sally) Love and I discovered that Monroe County Alabama at the time of the 1816 Census covered a large portion of Alabama and that Samuel (Shem) and Isaac Love that were listed there were actualy in what is now SinClair County and James Knowles was in what is now Covington County which makes the odds Slim that either would be her Father. Mister Gulley (G Grandson of Robert Harrison Knowles) said that Sarah's Father was an old Indian. The fact that he was'nt homesteading land in Covington County means he probably would'nt be listed on a Census in that time frame. I've found listings at rootsweb that state that William (English Bill) Love married a full blood choctaw women in Indian territory Mississippi and I don't see the possibility of Sarah being the daughter of his son Thomas that married Sally (house of in-cun-no-mar) Colbert the daughter of James Logon Colbert the Great Chickasaw Indian Chief. My thinking is that she was probably the daughter of a brother of thomas and wanted to be called Sally because she Idealized her Aunt Sally because she was the great Chiefs daughter. I'm going to base my search criteria on this and see what I can find. I appreciate your effort and if this helps you in finding any more Info let me know.

Thanks Gene
