I am researching the HAYS or HAYES family...............
I have a John Hays married to a LOVE. Have found her first name as MARY and as JANE. Their descendents allegedly are:
William Hays married to Mary Allison.
William Christopher Hays married to Mary C Wilson and 2nd to Isebella Crowder
George Hays [a brother to William C.] was married to Elizabeth Crowder a sister to Isebella, She was Mrs. Robert Silas White, a widower.
William C and Mary were in Rusk Co Tx on the 1900 Census.
They and several of their children families are buried in the Maple Grove Cemetery Rusk Co Tx.
George W.Hays is the line I am working on.
His son George Lewis [Louis] Hays married Annis Caroline Elkins Found only 4 children for them:
1. Vestel Franklin married Mary ElNora Davis
2. William Parks married Tommie Bussey
3. Elizabeth Betti married E C West
4. Callie married Mr. Holiday and 2.Martin Scoggins
George L located his family in Shelby Co Tx just across the county line from Rusk Co.
Vestel and Nora Davis Hays is our line. Nora was the daughter of Cross R. and Mary Alice Malone Davis from Houston Co Tx.
