Searching for Descendants of this Lucas family:

Joseph Lucas, born Ohio 1806-07, married in Brown County, Ohio, 11 January 1835, Cynthia Bunner, his first cousin, daughter of Isaac and Anna (Lucas) Bunner, who was born Brown County, Ohio, in 1812. In 1840 they were living in Franklin Township, neighbors to Thomas Stansberry, Joseph Lindsey, James Bunner, Maurice Rice, and John Lucas. About 1848 they moved to Spencer County, Indiana, settling in Huff Township. Joseph had evidently died by 1870, as Cynthia was then living with her sons Isaac W. and Wilson in Hammond Township. By 1880, Cynthia had moved back to Brown County, Ohio, and was living on the farm of her daughter Vianna and William H. Ross in Lewis Township, at which time Cynthia was listed as blind.
