Eldon: A search for Philip Lucas turned up your post. Although I doubt if there is a connection through the Richey
line, there may be some connection with my Lucas line. I have a Philip Lucas, b. 1779, d. 1854 in Wellsburg, Brooke County, WV, occupation cooper. Wellsburg is 7 miles from the Pennsylvania border and Washington County but 23 miles from the city of Washington, PA. His father was Thomas Lucas, preacher. Philip's daughter Eliza Jane Lucas was born 1806 and married my great great great grandfather William Evans Green in 1825. My note for her says that her sole brother had no children but I don't know where that info came from and cannot vouch for its accuracy. Does any of this ring any bells? Kaye Richey
