Mary (Polly) Roe (John, William) born 1823, LA. Married JOHN (Silas) LUCAS, born AL in 1799. Listed on 1860 census of Rapides Parish, LA.
Children: Hosea Biddle, b. 1845
Elvinia Jane, b. 1855
Lavina C., b. 1855
James A., b. 1857
Joseph C., b. 1859

Henry Roe, (John, William), brother of Mary Roe, b. Catahoula Parish, LA, 1825, died. TX 1881. Buried Hemphill Cemetery, Hemphill TX. Married ELIZABETH (Betsy) LUCAS, b. 1835, died at birth of twins in 1859. Henry and Betsy are my gggrandparents.
Children: Jesse Clayton, b. 22 Aug 1857

John C., b. 1859, d. 1870
Twin to John, d. at birth.

Samuel Roe (Samuel, William) b. Rapides Parish, LA, 9 April 1822, d. TX 11 Oct 1909. Buried Enloe, Delta Co., TX. Married SARAH LUCAS, 1848, d. after birth of 3rd child.
Children: Silas W. b. 1850, d. 19 Nov 1929, buried Mineola, TX
Martha, d. young
Richard, d. young

Jesse Clayton Roe, (Henry, John, William), b. 22 Aug 1857, d. 30 Jan 1938. Married Georgia Ann Sanders, daughter of Thomas J. Sanders, b. Alabama 14 Sept 1835, d. 26 Dec 1908, and TENNESSEE S. LUCAS, b. 4 Dec 1833, Tennessee, d. 24 Mar 1872, Marthaville, Natchitoches Parish, LA. All are buried in Pisgah Cemetery at Marthaville.

I have two LUCAS lines, ELIZABETH (Betsy) and TENNESSEE S., both gggrandmothers. Are any of these names familiar to other LUCAS researchers? Any leads would be most helpful. Thanks.
