Looking for descendents of Nathanial Lucas and Sarah Rebecca Speers. Nathanial was born ? in Bennington county, VT and Sarah was born Feb. 25, 1830 in Speers/West Belle Vernon, PA on the Monongahela River. Belle Vernon founded in 1812 was in 3 counties then - Fayette, Westmoreland, and Washington Counties. Since then Speers or West Belle Vernon has become a Boro of Charleroi in Washington County in the 1890's.
They were married June 7, 1875 and moved to Marshalltown, IA. Sarah had several siblings that moved to Marshalltown - Henry Valentine and Jacob B. Speers.
