Looking for any informationon the Daniel Lucas family.
Daniel Lucas, appears in the 1830 and 1840 census for Windham, Luzerne Cty., PA.

1840 Census, Alexander Wandle is single neighbor: Windham, Luzerne. Daniel Lucas, 40-50 years. One female 50-60 years. 3 Females 10-15 and 3 females 5-10.

1830 Census, Daniel Lucas in Windham, Luzerne. 1 male 5-10, 1 male 40-50. 4 females under 5 years of age...possible error on the part of the census taker. One female 40-50.

According to his daughter Ellen's death certificate he was born in Freetown, MA and married a J. Hicks (Joanna or Jemima) who was born in Easton (Eastowne), NY.

Ellen, b. Aug 1823 or 1826 and d. 10 Jan 1912, married John Wandell before 1845. They lived in Mehoopany, Wyoming Cty, PA and had 14 children. 8 were living at the 1900 census.

There is some information that Alexander and John Wandell married sisters. It is possbile Alexander married a Lucas and they had one child b. abt. 1841, and she died before 1845 when Alexander married Sarah Rogers.

Have found a Daniel Lucas b. abt. 1790 in Freetown, MA, however, he appears to have remained in MA.

Also thought I found Joanna Lucas in a poor house in Ohio but the dates don't appear to match up.

Any info would be welcome.

Thanks,
Mary Ann
