Father of William Newton Lynn, b. 1785, GA, d. 1860, Russell Co., Al. The first William Newton Lynn appears to have born in Rowan County, NC 3 Mar 1745. He died in GA in 1829.
Would greatly appreciate assistance in identifying immediate forebears of the elder William Newton Lynn, their dates, birth places, etc. Also seeking clarifcation of arrival and origin of first immigrant in this Lynn line (Irish, Scots-Irish or English?). Various family trees have suggested Thomas Lynn (b. 1710, in NC?) and/or John Lynn (b. 1700? NC?) as forebears, but links are murky and dates seem off.
