Mackie drinking flask

I became the owner of a very nice hip flask at an auction in Helensburgh, Dunbartonshire, in about 1968. It is of glass, with a silver cap, leather cover on the top half and an EPNS drinking cup which covers the bottom half. The cup bears the legend "W. MacKie, Fyvie". It also bears the EPNS mark, which became a legal requirement in 1896. It is therefore probably later than that date. The flask is about 7" high, 4" wide and 1 1/2" thick. Does anyone have an idea of its provenence?
