I received my information of a Samuel Mallory marrying Amy Keeler Patterson from 2 sources. I received a photocopy of this information from a local Seaman family The first source is from Chapter 28 of the "History of Leeds and Grenville" written by a Mr. Leavitt. Secondly, there is mention of a book entitled "Life and Ministry of Wm. Smart", the first Presbyterian Church in Elizabethtown (now Brockville, Ontario). It was written by a Holly Skiff Seaman. This article is preserved in Volume 5 of the Ontario Historical Society Paper. I have not looked at the original of either of these documents. They mention Samuel Mallory of the USA marrying Amy Keeler Patterson, also of the USA as having the following children Peggy (Margaret) who married Julius Guild in 1825 Anne marrying Israel Guild in 1834 Huldah Keeler* marrying David Seaman in January of 1830 Salachy marrying Stephen Drucolon Rachel marrying Samuel Truesdell on June 12, 1852 Molly marrying Nathaniel Baxter Price marrying Martha Hutchinson on March 8, 1820 (it was Price and David/Huldah Seaman who ventured on to St. Vincent Twp.) Nathaniel who married Ophelia Mallory Israel who married Ruth Clark on June 25, 1822 Hutchinson Sally Samuel's father is listed from the same source as a United Empire Loyalist who came to Canada in 1784. His spouse is not listed Their children include: Daniel 2nd...married Elizabeth Randolph Samuel who married Amy Andrew who married Mary Whitney Peter David who married Huldah Patterson (nee Keeler) Israel who married Phoebe Ayres James John Elizabeth who married Wm Andress Polly who married Jeremiah Mallory Mercy who married Peter Trickey Catherine who married C. Ayres There is doubt listed by one member of the family...she thinks that Daniel is actually Nathaniel. She notes that many of these histories are based on oral traditions from the eldest member of the family and may be inaccurate. Interesting and it would be great to get a copy of the original documents...I will try in the new year Sue Notify Administrator about this message?
