Batavia (Illinois) Chronicle, Sept. 22, 1904 Dath of a Veteran Citizen Mrs. AnnMarrory Passes Away, at Her St. Charles Home, Aged 92 Yeas. Unconscious from the fumes of coal gas escaping from a stove, two citizens of St. Charles were found last week in the old Mallory hotel building. They were Mrs. Ann Mallory, nearly 92 years old, and Mrs. Richard Mallory, a daughter-in-law. The women reside in a portion of the building and last week two adjoining rooms were rented to young women and it was information given by them that led to the discovery. The elderly Mrs. Mallory passed away Sept. 17. She was a sister of our veteran citizen, Mrs. Jane Mallory, and aunt of Mr. Wm. M. VanNortwick, of Batavia Ave. Funeral services were held Wednesday, and a number of relatives attended from Batavia. Interment took place in West Batavia cemetery. ----- This newspaper item posted as a courtesy. I am not related to nor researching this family and have no further information.
