I am seeking the genealogy of the Markle brothers Adam (b.1791), John D. (b.1793), and Jacob (b.1801). All three were born near present-day Ithaca NY. John D. Markle moved to Madison County Indiana ca. 1830 and founded Markleville. Adam and Jacob moved to Markleville from NY ca. 1850. Can anyone help?
The IGI data base says those three were sons of Samuel Markle (1741-1828). Other sources say their father was John Markle (1755-1815). Can anyone confirm either of these?
