Can positively confirm that the picture is of the Stanley, Idaho, Markle Store, and believe that the fellow on the left in photo is Floyd Win Markle himself. Currently, no ideas on the other four, but will ask extended family.
Floyd born 5 Jan 1892 in Bellevue, ID, to Edward Markle and Anna E Peters (both of Centre Co.,PA). Edward died Oct 1901 in Bellevue. Floyd moved with most of remaining family to Toledo,OH, area ~1903, and had schooling there. He was involved in mining in Chile before returning to Idaho, and buying the Stanley store in mid-thirties. Sold store and cabins in 1965, retired to Twin Falls, ID, and died there 20 Jun 1977. Two of Floyd's sisters married and raised families Adrian,MI (near Toledo). Floyd's other brothers and sister raised families in Idaho and Washington. Not aware of any Arkansas connection.
