Eleanor: Thanks for your response. I'm already familiar with Abraham's bio and am looking specifically for a book with the title I mentioned. My main focus is on the Ulster Co. Markles who settled in the Niagara region of Ontario but I've also documented to some degree the Mohawk Valley clans who settled in Eastern Ontario. I'm afraid I haven't had the energy to tackle the Pennsylvania lines--I have some clues about their origins, and know something about a branch that migrated to Ontario in the 1790's, but that's as far as it's gone. Sorry I couldn't shed any light on your James. Kirsten
