James K. Markle was b. abt. 1807-1811 and married 1st Catherine Simons and 2nd Sarah Baker. He obviously could not have been Elizabeth's father.

The Elizabeth b. 1807 who married Peter Andrew VanEvery is generally believed to have been the daughter of William and Sarah (Green) Markle, although I know of no actual proof (but would love to have some).

It's also possible that this Elizabeth could have been the *sister* of James K., and therefore the daughter of James William and Catherine (Simons) Markle.
