It appears that this could be Lucy’s family. As you see Williams wife’s name is listed as Rilla so this may not be the family but on census they do use nicknames. Anyway this should give you enough information to see if it is your family. Please let the board know what you find.
The 1900 census for Black River, Independence Co., Arkansas lists the following
William Matheny, head of house, born May 1868 age 31 - Rilla Matheny, wife, born January 1872, age 28 and the following children, Clara B. Matheny, born June 1892, age 7 - Lucy M. Matheny, born September 1894 age 5 - Minnie L. Matheny, born September 1986, age 3 - Floid E. Matheny, born June 1898, age 1 - Babe Matheny, born March 1900, age 2 months. All but William born Arkansas, William born Tennessee
In the 1910 census the following children are listed – the baby was named Cecile Matheny - Elmer Matheny age 8 - (daughter) Clarey Matheny age 6. William in this census has a middle initial D. and is a widow
In 1920 Elmer and Clara are the only children still home with William
