Does anyone have any information on Rebecca Mathena (other spellings) that married a Timothy Ward. Rebecca was born sometime before 1788 in PA. Timothy Ward could possibly be her second husband. They were married I believe 18 Aug 1806 in Belmont Co OH. I have a copy of a register of some kind that is hand written and it looks like her name was spelled Mathnia, but hard to decipher. Timothy and Rebecca had a son Timothy that married a Sarah Jane McCoy also in OH. Timothy Sr was born approx. 1784 in NJ. Timothy Jr was born 14 Oct 1826 in Monroe Co OH and married Sarah Jane McCoy 11 Nov 1847 in Washington Co OH. I thought I had Rebecca's name figured out to be Matheny daughter of Ephraim and Elizabeth Hendry Matheny, but apparently that is not correct. So anyone out there with any information would be greatly and deeply appreciated. Also does anyone know if any of the Mathenys/Mathenia/Mathena/sp? were native american at all?
