HENRY SCHILLING returned on Tuesday evening from Chicago where he sold two car loads of cattle.

LAFE MAUK was in Chariton on business Tuesday.

The MISSES MAY BAKER, EDITH ROBINSON and FAYETTE BURGETT visited Sunday with ETHEL CLARK.

REV. BROWN and wife visited with their children in Chariton Saturday.

REV. BROWN married two couples Sunday. In the forenoon MR. JAP VICKROY and MISS ALMA CLARK, and in the afternoon MR. WINNIE JAMES and MISS MINNIE HUGHES. This makes seventeen couples REV. BROWN has started on the sea of matrimony, since he has had the charge here.

CICERO GILLASPEY's will move to Chariton in the near future where their sons have employment.

Quite a number of the farmers attended the Holden lecture at Lacona Tuesday, going on the morning train and returning on the special. They report a very good talk and feel well paid for the several hours sleep they lost in making the 5 A.M. train.

Friends of M.L. POUCH, who lived here for several years, will be sorry to hear of his sickness at his home in Jamison, Iowa. Their little granddaughter is also very low at this writing.

H.D. VAWTER returned from Jamison Tuesday, where he has been visiting his father-in-law, M.L. POUCH.

The first of March will find about thirty-two of the residents of Oakley leaving for other parts of the compass.
