I am trying to locate information on my great grandmothers family. Her father and mother were Edward and Elizabeth (Ross)McCormick. In 1910 they were living in Fentor, Grant County, Arkansas. At that time their children were listed as Mirtle M (this is my great grandmother Annie) age 6, Maborn (Melbourne) age 4, and Gladis G age 2. Sometime between the 1910 and 1920 census the children were put in Arkansas Children's Home in Little Rock. I am not really sure why they were put here. One family story is their parents had TB. The other is they were killed in a fire. My grandmother was taken in by a woman with the last name Tygart. Grandma graduated from England H.S. in 1922. If anyone else is working on this line I would love to corresponde with you. If any one knows how I could get records for the children's home I would also like to know how to do that.
