You are correct about the date of the marriage of Joseph McGee and Elizabeth (Betsey) McGough. They left Christian County KY in July 1817, and went to the Alabamna Territory. Elizabeth's father was Robert McGough Jr, her mother was Agnes (Nancy) McWhorter McGough. They had seven daughters.
I have notes on all seven daughters and their families, also extensive McGee/McGough/Lee/Woods notes. I am also a Woods descendant of Thomas Woods - my g-g-grandfather was Joseph Woods, second son. I'd be glad to hear from you.
