Carolyn McGough Rowe, in her prodigious work: "A Glimpse of the Past: Descendants of Robert McGough (b 1725 Northern Ireland)", at page 125, says:
Sarah McGough was the fourth child of Andrew Jackson McGough and Mary Ann Keeton. She was born on November 1, 1881, in Walker county, Alabama. She married W. E. "Byrd" Farris in Walker county on February 15, 1905. He was a coal miner. Rowe lists 8 of their children. Sarah died on March 29, 1961, and Byrd died on June 30, 1974. They are buried together at Old Flatwoods Cemetery in Walker county.
