Hi David: The Budddie you are asking about is Ellison Monroe McGough. He was the son of William Carson and Paulina Burch McGough.
William and Paulina had 8 children but only 3 lived to be adults. They were:
Sarah Ann McGough B; 21 Nov 1858 in Parker Co Texas. She married Jason Roney Higgins and they had 16 children. These are my grandparents.
James William McGough B; 20 August 1861, Ft Blair, Eastland Co Texas, married Caroline Inez Westbrook. They had 5 children.
Ellison Monroe McGough B 29 Jan 1865 Eastland Co Texas he married Brittania Gertrude Lance they had 3 children.
Ellison Monroe was always called Budddie and as you discovered that was put on his tombstone.
