Lois J. McGowan of Schaumburg Services for Lois J. McGowan (nee DeGonia), 70, will begin with prayers at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg, and proceed to St. Marcelline Church, 820 S. Springinsguth Road, Schaumburg, for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Palatine. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home. Born March 8, 1937, in Chicago, she passed away Friday, May 25, 2007, in Elk Grove Village. She was the beloved wife of James T. McGowan; loving mother of Kathleen (Scott) White, and Tim (Kathleen) and Thomas (Janice) McGowan; loving grandmother of Jeffrey, Daniel and Andrew White, and Colleen, Shannon, Brian, Ryan and Megan McGowan; dear sister of Viola (Jim) Nemec and Lloyd "Skip" (DeDe) DeGonia; and sister-in-law of Patrick (Diane) McGowan, Mary (Richard) Walsh and Ellen (Richard) Migely. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated for the American Cancer Society. For information, 847-882-5580.
