I have a Neal McNeal in Greene Co., Arkansas, on 1840 census. He is 20-30 years old. I am interested in him because he is on census two families away from James Canaday (Kennedy)who is my ancestor. James' son, Cantrell Bethel Kennedy, named his son James Neal Kennedy. I found the McNeals when I started trying to find where the Neal name came from.
