Hello:
I am seeking descendents of the McNeils who emigrated from Dumfries-Galloway, Scotland to Nova Scotia, Canada, in the 18th or 19th century.
My grandfather, John McNeil, was born in Canada, probably in either Halifax or Cape Breton, in Dec. 1851. He emigrated to the U.S. between June and December 1880.
Both his parents were born in Scotland, possibly in Dumfries-Galloway.
