Looking for McNeil's or Bates in Genville/Avoca Quebec

Looking for any connection to McNeil or Bates from East Canada. I am a descendant of John McNeil born abt 1826 and Elizabeth Bates born abt 1832 of Grenville/Avoca. They relocated to Clark County in Wisconsin sometime between 1865 and 1869 from what I can gather. They had six children. I believe John is a son of Hugh McNeil and Margaret McGavic. If this is part of your family and have any additional info, I would like to learn more.
