Well I did such a great job here I accounted for all of the Catherine O'Handleys that I could find. However, when I checked 1881 I made a new discovery. Catherine d/o John O'Handley and Sarah Nicholson was not married in 1881. There is either a mistake on the marriage record or Donald MacMillan died shortly after this marriage. This leaves this Catherine O'Handley as the remaining candidate to be yours. Now it appears that your John MacNeil and Catherine O'Handley may have been married in 1881 because they appear together with no children next to his parents. Catherine may occur in both households because she was recently married so counted twice. I have found ancestors of mine double counted before. I have accounted for (I believe) all of the Catherine and Kate O'Handleys in 1871 and she must have been there at this time.
Let me know if you can find any other Catherines. There is still a chance that the Catherine who married the John MacNeil was infact yours?????
