Yes, I am a member of the McPhails in Austin. My fathers' uncle, Virgil McPhail, owned and operated the Airport Florist. In fact, another cousin, Gary McPhail is currently running it. (he is the son of Tryman McPhail, the eldest son of Francis Marion McPhail and Laura Kate Burton)
When Virgil and Rosa McPhail divorsed in the 30's, Aunt Rosa got the McPhail Florist that is located near Zucker Park, on Barton Springs Road. My family visited there often. We loved the old house and attached shop. When Aunt Rosa died, the florist went to her three daughters, who ultimately sold it to a close family friend. It still retains the McPhail Florist name. We stopped by the shop in October. They are still going strong and a picture of Aunt Rosa is on the wall, along with a picture of the gardens that used to surround the shop to provide flowers to sell. Of couse this was when Austin was just a stop off on the way to San Antonio. There is quite a bit of Austin history in those pictures.
Two of the three daughters are still alive, one is in a nursing home in Austin and the other moved to Georgia to be close to one of her three sons.
