Governor John MacPhail of Leeward and Windward Isle

I am looking for more information on Gov. John MacPhail he was governor of this Islands about 1842 had a son named Edmund. His parents were John MacPhail and Agnes Howard Peacock. I think Gov. John MacPhail died in the West Idies around 1859. His siblings were Francis and Anne born in London, Egland abt 1775 and died in Wicklow, Ireland abt.1828.
