Kyle Junior Morelock, 77, Kingsport, TN, died Saturday
morning, June 16, 2007 at Wexford house following an
extended illness.
Born in Sullivan Co. TN on Sep. 6, 1929, he resided in
Kingsport, Sullivan Co TN. He had resided in
Indianapolis, IN for about 25 years before moving back to
Sullivan County several years ago. Junior served in the
U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kyle Morelock,
Sr. and Florence Morelock; brothers, Ed Morelock, J. D.
Morelock, Sammy Morelock, and William Dewey Morelock;
sisters, Eula “Jack” Bishop and Nannie “Bill” Kate Hite;
and one half-sister, Eula Fay Hall.
Surviving are two stepdaughters, Carolyn VanArsdall and
husband Stephen, Monrovia, IN and Glinda Loyd,
Indianapolis, IN; stepson, Charles Jeffrey Loyd and wife
Donna, Indianapolis, IN; six step-grandchildren, Stephen
Daniel VanArsdall Jr., Jessica Marie VanArsdall, Jacob
Kyle VanArsdall, Jason Loyd, Nicole Loyd, and Jeremy Loyd;
five sisters, Rosie Holland, Kingsport, TN, Irene Adams
and husband Alphard, Fall Branch, TN, Juanita Lane, Ilene
Ferguson and husband Fred, and Carolyn Carter and husband
Mack, all of Kingsport, TN; two brothers, George Morelock
and Roy Morelock, both of Kingsport; several nieces and
nephews; half-brother, Lonnie Hall; and friends, Geneva
Bullis, Shirley Williams, Bill Carroll, and Thelma
Ferguson.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday
at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport, TN.
Services: 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with
Rev. Kelly Dykes and Rev. Lebert Thornburg officiating.
Graveside services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain Home
National Cemetery with military rites conducted by
American Legion Post No. 3/265.
