Linda E. Light Morelock, 83, passed away Sunday (June 24,
2007) at Brookhaven Manor.
Born in Hawkins County, she lived there until moving to
Kingsport in 1960. Linda had been living with her son and
daughter-in-law since 2005.
Mrs. Morelock was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by daughters, Wanda Lou Morelock
and Betty Sue Morelock; sons, Dexter Morelock and L. B.
Morelock; parents, Fred and Lura Light; sisters, Opal
Crawford and Revel Morelock; and brother, Glen Light.
Surviving are her sons, Reece Morelock and his wife,
Helen, Mt. Carmel, TN, Marvin Morelock and his wife,
Marlene, Rogersville, and Donnie Morelock and his wife,
Angie, Church Hill, TN; ten grandchildren; eight great-
grandchildren; special niece, Iva Nell Crawford; and
special nephew, Roscow Morelock.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 7:30
p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services
will be at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Orville Dolen and Rev. Jack
Morelock officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m.
Wednesday at Light Cemetery.
