Jerry C. Morelock, 65, b. August 23, 1942 in Kingsport,
Sullivan Co TN, died Friday evening, October 12, 2007 at
Takoma Regional Hospital in Greeneville, Greene Co TN.
Jerry was a retired farmer and of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded him in death by his parents, Clyde and
Odell Morelock; son, Bobby Morelock; wife, Barbara Hyatt
Morelock; wife, Anna Jo Gilland; sisters, Nancy Sue
Morelock and Marilyn Crawford; and his grandparents.
Surviving are three sisters, Darlene Light, Mereda Storie,
both of Kingsport, TN, and Shirley Thorpe of Greeneville,
TN; and several nieces and nephews.
The family receive friends Sunday, October 14, 2007 at
Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport, and at the home of
Shirley Thorpe.
Services were conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2007
at the funeral home with Rev. Orville Dolen, Rev. Buddy
Dingus, and Rev. Pete Smith officiating.
Graveside services conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, October 14,
2007 at Brown’s Chapel Cemetery in Parrotsville, TN.
Family members and friends served as pallbearers.
Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home served the Morelock family.
