Ina Pauline Smith Morelock, 91, Fall Branch, Washington Co
TN, entered into rest on Friday, March 7, 2008 Indian Path
Medical Center, Kingsport, Sullivan Co TN, after a brief
illness.
She was born in Greene Co TN on May 13, 1916 and spent all
of her adult life in the East Tennessee area.
Mrs. Morelock was of the Freewill Baptist faith and
attended several area churches during her lifetime,
teaching occasionally.
She was a wonderful mother and homemaker, making many
award-winning quilts and handkerchiefs; she will live on
in our hearts forever.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Charley E. and
Minnie L. McCamey Smith; husband, James Ray Morelock; one
grandson; one great-grandson; and numerous friends.
She is survived by five children, K. Dean Morelock and
wife Sharon, Peggy Morefield, Phyllis Whetsel and husband
Kemp, L. Ginger Coppala and husband Paul, and Gray
Morelock; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A private service will be conducted for the immediate
family at Oak Dale Baptist Church in Greene Co TN with
Rev. J. W. Depew officiating. Interment will follow in the
church cemetery beside her husband and father.
The family would appreciate your sincerest prayers at this
time. In lieu of flowers, please forward your love and
concern to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place,
Memphis, TN 38105, or Samaritan's Purse, P. O. Box 3000,
Boone, NC 38607-3000 in her honor.
Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home Kingsport is serving the
Morelock family.
