While looking for Newland in Scioto Co I ran into Rosina Nagel, Catherine Nagel, Stantina Nagel, Caroline Nagel.
All m. in Scioto Co 1850-1860. Married names Bescoe, Selb, Meyer, Gleim and Dortch.

Rosina reminded my of my Ellis (Allis) line. In 1900 Catharine Stickel Foos published her book, "The Ellis Family" She traced her origins back to Hans Gorg Nogelle, Nogel or "something likte that". The author asserted that Nogelle, m. a princess, Maria Louisa, of the House of Habsburg. She was R.C and he Lutheran. The R.C.'s could no abide & they were forced to immigrate to America early to mid 18th century. The had two daughters Margaret & Rosina Margaret m. Henry Yoel & Rosina m. Michael Burkett probably in Dauphin Co., PA. Margaret & Henry Yoel had two daughters, Katharine and Margaret who married the Allis (Ellis) brothers about 1780. Katharine m. Abraham Ellis and Margaret m. Jacob. Soon after m. they moved to Berkeley Co., VA (WV) to land inherited on the death of Henry Yoel in 1779.
Michael & Rosina apparently moved to MD and ended up in Jefferson Co., WV. I would be real pleased if Rosina Nagel who m. Karl Meyer or Catherine who m. Quincy Bescoe &/or George Dorthc turned out to be descentants of the Nogelle / Nogel etc. recorded in Ellis Famly history 104 years ago
