What is the source of the birth record for Frederick William Nagel? This appears to the be Frederick Nagel buried at Christ Church Cemetery in Shoenersville, PA. His tombstone says he was born 26 April 1759, son of Friderich Wilhelm and Anna Maria Nagel. His unfiled pension application, printed in History of Northampton Co. (1877) gives his date of birth as 25 April 1761. He died 10 March 1839.

The parents, Friedich Wilhelm Nagel and his wife Anna Maria Engel, are buried at Zion's Stone Church in Kreidersville. The dates on their tombstones are respectively 1713-24 Nov. 1779 and 1 Feb. 1725-23 Spt, 1790. These stones are not easy to read.
