I believe that William Nance and Deborah Atkins may have at least one more child, a daughter Catherine Nance born 1828 in SC or TN. In the 1850 Benton Co. Census, William and Debra Nance have two other people living in their household, Samuel and Catharine SLAUGHTER. The census says they were both born in TN. In the 1860 Benton Co. Census on the same page as P.S. Nance, there is a William Slaughter with wife Catherine (b. SC). They have a child Debby, age 6. Interestingly, P.S. Nance also has a child named Debby, age 7.

I cannot find any documented link between Catherine and the Nances, and actually I can't even say for sure that the two Catherine's are the same one. That is why I am posting to see if any of this sounds familiar to someone.

My interest - William and Catherine Slaughter have another daughter, Mary Jane, who married Lewis G. Graham. All indications are that they are my GGGrandparents. In the 1870 census, the Graham and Slaughter families are in adjacent households in Benton Co.

Any help would be appreciated.
