Does any Nance researcher have any information on this particular Joel? He is one of my candidates for the father of Wright Nance, but I can find no trace of him after this census. I do not believe he's the Joel Nance listed in the 1840 Kentucky census. Wright had a sister born about 1837. So if my thinking is correct, he probably died before 1840. Wright and his brother Josiah were in MO in 1850. They, along with their 2 sisters, Minerva (Nance) McGowen and and Sarah (Nance) Tate were in Christian County, MO in 1860. Could not locate the two sisters anywhere on the 1850 census. Would appreciate any help. Have been searching for Wright and Josiah's parents for years.
