What wars were fought round about 1810 / 1814

Does anyone know if it is possible to find out the names of those that fought in the wars between say 1810 and 1814.

I am having a problem searching for the death of a William Shelvoke from Staffordshire.I've searched all the records I can think of. It's a long shot but I thought maybe he could have died at war. Many thanks, Kath.
