Dear Nash Family Researchers,
I am researching the Sims Nash connection which apparently goes back to William Nash and Michael Nash of Anson County NC. I have been collecting what I can and comparing what I have found on line. My line goes through Ruby Sims Caudle who was the daughter of Sarah Elizabeth Nash Sims. Sarah (Sallie) married William H. Sims about 1875. They had 12-14 children (Dollie, Ellen, Claud, Lillian, Willie, Etha, Rennie Zelda, Ruby, Jesse, George, Bessie).
Sarah was the sister of Ithey Nash and the daughter of Jesse J. Nash and Dorothy Duncan Nash. Jesse was the son of William Nash, who was the son of Michael Nash of the Revolutionary War who may have been the son of another William Nash (1730).
I am looking for additional documentation and information. I know someone said there was a picture of Ithey Nash. Could there be pictures of Sarah Nash Sims or her children?? I would love to get copies of anything anyone can share
I have the Goodspeed article on Ithey Nash, a transcription of Michael Nash’s will and a PDF of Michael’s revolutionary was record and the accounts given for his pension (VERY interesting). I will be happy to send copies of these, but I know most of you have some of these.
