Dear All I have seen the numerous postings made to this forum providing help to various Nelmes researchers and was hoping to obtain help in pushing my researches backwards. My family Nelmes family connection ends with the marriage of Rosannah Nelmes to George DASH on 27 Oct 1863 at St Mary's Church, Berkeley and extends backwards through her father Daniel Nelmes (x. 30 Jan 1803, St Mary's Church, Berkeley; i. 27 Dec 1879, Berkeley), grandfather Daniel Nelme (x. 28 Jan 1770, Berkeley, GLS) and (I believe) greatgrandfather William Nelm, who I believe (by searching on-line records for Berkeley) was married on 30 May 1763 to Jane Coulson in St Mary's,Berkeley (Wit. Wm Turner, Ann Knight). I was hoping that someone might be able to confirm the veracity of the above line and possibly point me in the direction of further research. On a more trivial note, does anyone know how Sarah Nelmes (the source of cowpox for Sir Edward Jenner's famous innoculation experiment of May 1796) fits into the numerous Nelmes families of Berkeley? Thanks Al Notify Administrator about this message?
