My GreatGrandfather was Jake Nelson, his daughter Margaret Lucille was my grandmother. I’ve verified that Jake's father was Elisha (Lias) Nelson and Elisha’s wife was Paulina (Pliney, Polina). It appears that Elisha and Pauline did not get married until around 2 or 3 years after Jake was born. I’m trying to verify who his mother was or if it was Paulina.
Also, I would like to know who Elisha’s parents were. My uncle seems to think it was Lish (born about 1825) and married to a Nancy (he didn’t know her last name just that she was born about 1830). I’m not sure about this since Lish (or Elisha) would have to have been about 37 or so when his son Elisha was born. I know this could be a possibility but I don’t know who the siblings are in order to connect. There are a couple of Elisha’s on-line that are married to Nancy that had a son Elisha as well, but they don’t list who Elisha (the son’s) children are so I’m not sure if they are my line.
Any help or direction on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
