I have John Simmons 1761-1843 born New York City and died Wheeling, Marshall, Virginia. He married about 1780 Mary Nelson in Orange co., N.Y. He was son of John Symmons and Catherine Dally.

John and Mary [Nelson?] Simmons had children:
John William Simmons 1781-1859 who married Dolly Ann Jennison abt. 1803 of Chenango, N.Y. or Hamilton co., Ohio

Catherine Simmons b. 17 Jul 1784 Trinity Anglican, NYC

Samuel Simmons 1784-1819 d. St. Claire, Allegheny, PA md. Elizabeth Matthews

Catherine Simmons b. 17 Jun 1785 NYC

Elizabeth Simmons b. 16 Mar 1786 Chenango co., N.Y. md. Asa Kimball of Canajoharie, Montgomery, New York

I am seeking proof that John simmons did in fact marry Mary Nelson and to determien who mary's parents were.
