This is not my line. I am researching Nelson, and in abstracting Nelson on Tennessee Land Grants, found:
Nelson, Robert, Grant 3057, Warrant 4402, 1000 ac., 19 July 1797, Tennessee Co. Assignee heirs of Zachareah Carrick. Book D-4, p 133.
There were also entries for one Carrick Nelson:
Nelson, Carrick & James Payne. #29105, 5000 ac. 24 April 1854, Carter Co, TN. E. TN Dist
Nelson, Carrick #16604, 50 ac, 14 May 1834, Carter Co, TN, Book 18, p 646, E TN Dist
Nelson, Carrick W, #16604, 50 ac, 14 May 1834, Carter Co, TN, Book 16, p 462, E Tennessee District
Nelson, Carrick (ditto above entry except no middle initial & date is 19 May 1834)
Nelson, Carrick D & Oruel Perry, et al. #18649, 3000 ac, 9 May 1834, Carter Co, TN. E. Tenn Dist.
