Clifford Nathan Nelson was born April 30, 1925 to Martin and Hazel (Anderson) Nelson in Tracy, MN. Clifford attended country school and later, Tracy High School, graduating in 1943. On September 6, 1957 Clifford married Laurel Mickelson at the Willow Lake Lutheran Church south of Tracy. Clifford farmed south of Garvin, MN until his retirement and moved into Tracy. On Thursday, March 13, 2008 Clifford died, surrounded by his loving family, at the Avera-McKennen Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 82.
Clifford is survived by his three sons, Tracy (Julie) Nelson of Farmington, MN, Torre (Denise) Nelson and Monte (Jerilyn) Nelson, both of Apple Valley, MN; two daughters, Jill (Tom) Hollingsworth, Benson, MN and Mary (Jerry) Entinger of Brandon, SD; fourteen grandchildren; one great granddaughter, Hailey Gladis; one sister, Sylvia Moline of Slayton, MN; one brother, Neil (Sharon) Nelson of Urbana, OH; two brothers-in-law, Charles Swan of Slayton, MN and Richard Light of Baxter, MN; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His parents, one brother, Milo Nelson, two sisters, Eunice Swan and LaVaughn Light, and one brother-in-law, Vincent Moline preceded him in death.
