Peggy, need more info.....as to children's names for Andrew and his wife.....is he African-American?...Caroline Co., Va. Nelsons are mostly Black in the census anyway....no luck on an Andrew Nelson in Caroline Co. as to correct age.....do you know if he had step-children named Thomas....(Robert Thomas, Nannie, Odell and Bernice Thomas....
And did your James Henry have a brother with an odd name that starts with a "K"?...who was about 4 yrs. younger then him? couldn't make out the name in the 1930 census....
