Mexico, Mo., June 30.--John NICHOLSON, of Vandalia, Mo., pleaded guilty today to
murdering his wife and nine year old adopted son, by pouring oil over them while they
slept and setting fire to the bed clothing. NICHOLSON was sentenced to life
imprisonment and taken to the penitentiary tonight, ten days after the tragedy.
