Hello Board,
Can someone do a look up for Donald V Nicholson?
I am trying to find information on him from 1930-1955. What was he doing and where was he located? An Obit or a newspaper look up, might have all the Answers......;-)

Thank You
Best regards
Kurt

This is what I know so far.

I only found one Donald Nicholson registered for WW1 in the area,
--------
World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918
Military San Francisco, California-
Donald Vincent Nicholson worked for the San Francisco Chronicle and lived in San Francisco (Unfortunately I did not receive the address)
----------------
There are at least two different Donald Nicholson's in the area. The guy who registered for the draft worked for the Chronicle and lived in San Francisco. The 1920 census lists both guys: the younger guy who works at a service station in Oakland, Alameda and the guy who is in publishing in San Francisco.
--------------
Oakland California City Directory
In 1920 in the Oakland Directory, (a younger) Don Nicholson, listed as a service station attendant, lived at 872 56th

In 1921 in the Oakland Directory, Don N. Nicholson, listed as a service station operator, lived at 872 56th Street
He was living with Cora A. Nicholson, the widow of John W. Nicholson

Don Nicholson, ran some sort of business from a office building at 357 12th St. Oakland Alameda, County, CA. in about 1942, I had suspect it was a building company or had something to do with Campaign Management.
I now suspect it was is a office for D.V. Nicholson and Associates. Today in the building at 357 12th St. Oakland Alameda, County, CA. Are BAY BRIDGE CLUB, HUA SU TRADING, Eagle Driving School, Sino Herb, California Consultant Services, Yu, Minsook M.
