He has a VA marker on his grave, which states that he served in the "28th Missouri Cavalry".
His book--"A Brief Sketch of the Life on an Ex-Confederate Soldier..." was published in Dallas in 1928. The book is very rare and sells for at least $100 nowadays.
Do you have a copy of his book? What is your interest in him? I'm interested in the details of his war service. I have not read the book, so if you have it (or information from it) that would help.
