To Pat Bourquin and Bruce Allardice: My name is Jack Leroy Watson, my Mother is Myrtle Leottia Stevenson Watson; her Grandfather (my Great-Grandfather) was Bescac Charles Nickelson. I have a xerox copy of his paperback book "A Brief Sketch of the Life of an Ex-Confederate soldier" AND THE UPS AND DOWNS During Pioneer and Indian Warfare in Texas. Published by: Stillmach 1928, 16 pages in Texas Collection Downtown Dallas.Texas Public Library, RBN6325N.
I have a photo of his gravestone which reads BESCAC C. NICKELSON, 26 MO CAV C S A MAR 29, 1826 JUNE 26 1934. He is buried in the Forest Lawn Cemetary, Dallas, Texas.
