Abigail Barto/Bartoo B. 7 Apr 1800 in Greene, Chenango, New York married William Norris b. Dec. 19, 1800. William was the son of Henry Norris b. Nov 16, 1745, in New York State and his wife, Mary, born Sept. 6, 1759, in New York State. William and his mother are buried at Smithville Burial Grounds, possibly called Loomis Cemetery, Chenango County, New York. I think William may have married two Abigails. The first one may have been Abigail Potter. I suspect Abigail Potter is the Abigail who is buried next to him in the cemetery. She died Dec. 4, 1841. William probably married Abigail Barto/Bartoo after that date. William's family were generally Methodists. I have old family records for the family of Henry and Mary Norris and would like to hear from any descendants of William Norris and Abigail Barto/Bartoo.
